I think we can all agree that leather is a staple in the cooler months. If it’s not a leather bag, it’s leather sleeves on a trench, or maybe just leather-look leggings. I love ANY leather, on anything, but today, I choose a leather vest. In red. I don’t know if it’s a “trend” really, but I’ve always liked how a vest looked on me. Granted, I never tried a leather one, or a red one, before, but when I saw this one, I knew it had to be mine. I’ve actually had this for a long time, with big plans for it! I was going to fashion a lapel out of scraps. Stud the hell out of it. Make it real punk rock, right? Well, wrong. This thing has been sitting in my closet for a good 6 months. After putting it on and folding over the top to make lapels, I’ve decided that I like it just the way it is… and I might still stud it.
Good thing I thrifted this bad boy, or I’d be pissed I spent money on something I didn’t wear for 6 months. I don’t know how people do that! I’ve been going through my closet like a mad woman, picking things out to sell, throw away, or refashion, and I’ve decided one thing: I need a thrifting binge. STAT. My closet looks empty. I have almost no tops whatsoever, and my jeggings are officially gone, which is causing actual withdraws. I need more sweaters, more shoes, and of course the pencil skirts that you saw last week! Woe is me, right? If we’re all being honest, I just have the shopping itch, man!
